Youse dun good. I would think that sometime next week, after the submissions are in & the public sphere day is over, you might be able to draw breath and see how you've compressed three years into one month, and drawn some pollen filled bees to this hive. Just wish you'd left the projects comment press open, so we could get into the pepetual beta mode. Maybe do another cut? It usually takes about three reiterations (one/month) to get a community into the groove. Please just keep in mind that what you have in mind to do is good; consulting with silos, be they .gov, .edu, whatever. The main thing is about the way in which you do it, and how you can include as many bees as possible in your travels (don't swat). You asked for ideas about people in private or public orgs, which i would never put in print, as they are the 5% that the other 95% follow. But the two agencies which need to be included now are the National Library, and aarnet. The nla because if we are talking about .gov.au we need some good records of you travels kept, so we can share the learning, and they're the agency who can help in structuring (what the BBC call) a creativearchive. Aarnet, because they can help us systemize the capture, recording and streaming, etc, of your travels, and new (cheap) communications. Your commercial team members have their employers to consider, and can't give away their strategies for groundchanging implementations. E.g. Even Cisco, who have been kind enough to loan you their VC tool, shouldn't be given preference in defining a(n opensource) spec for an open interface to do this kind of stuff. It would be nice to include the Australian NREN backwater in this (kind of) initiative. Including the ABC multimedia guys might be a good idea as well. It's about network convergence. The last group; the creative interface designers, the tool makers, of which Australia has plenty, will need to coordinate their activities with the old professions (above). So a competition would bring them to the surface, and help every silo. But you'll need t be spec(ific) about what support (design) your secretariat will need. Of course I'm taking for granted your secretariat members have 5 years (/each, /min) of online moderating experience. Regardless, they've done well. Hi Guys,

I won’t bother to make the usual criticisms. Youse dun good. Gov 2.0 should be about better citizen/govt interactions. We should have projects that build demonstrators of how to achieve this....not just more reports...Web 2.0 did not arrive that way... How can we better analyse public Blogs to help feedback to govt agencies? How can we better publish govt information with clear permissions and reuse policies? How can we provide single Profile login (not just signin) to all govt agencies? ... Where are the projects that will be visible to the community / citizens and make a difference to their lives? I think we need to add projects that are not driven by an agency but by external groups wanting something to happen and in a need to work with one or more agencies to make it happen. I voiced a video-centric idea over in another blog post http://gov2.net.au/blog/2009/08/13/hack-mash-and-innovate-contests-coming-soon/comment-page-1/#comment-869 , but I am sure there are all kinds of other ideas waiting to happen. Maybe a tweetmp for government - a site that allows to easily find out about twitter/identi.ca access to any government agency with twitter archives to search. Or a blog aggregator for all government agencies that blog. I would like to see some real value for citizens come out of the gov2.0 TF.
